How do you see the freedom of the press in Qatar?

Dr. Ali Bin Smaikh Al Marri, president of Qatar National Human Rights Committee, said that during his meetings with a number of Congressmen, he witnessed a strong will to bring the file of human rights violations to the US Congress. This followed his meeting with Mr. Mike Capawano, Mr. Stephen Lynch, Mr. David Cecilin and Ms. Nita Lowe at the US Congress, where he gave a detailed explanations of human rights violations resulted of the blockade, where citizens and residents of Qatar, UAE, Bahrain were affected, primarily the right to education, movement, treatment, family reunification and the practice of religious rites.
Dr. Al Marri praised the great interest of the US congressmen and their deep concern over the tragedies faced by citizens and residents of Qatar and the three Gulf states due to the unjust blockade. He praised the response of members of Congress and their keenness to bring human rights violations to the table, with absolute agreement to refuse to involve citizens and residents in political conflicts. It is worth mentioning that a series of important meetings have been held by the President of the NHRC since the beginning of the blockade, with high-level international figures and human rights organizations from the European Parliament, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.
