Doha, September 07(SHARQ DAILY): NHRC Chairman, H.E. Dr Ali Bin Smaikh Al-Marry has welcomed the Emiri decision issued by HH the Deputy Emir and Heirapparent, SH Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani on the increase of basic salary, social allowance and pensions for employees and retirees of Qatari civilians and military personnel, working in the state describing it as coming in conformity with the wise leadership’s standing policy of promoting Human Rights in the country through providing decent living to Qatari citizens in light of the economic boom the country is witnessing at present.
In an exclusive interview with the Arabic daily ‘al-Sharq", Dr. Marry said such enlighted decisions are typical of the country’s wise leadership that is always focusing on ensuring their citizens’ best welfare and decent living; it is also heartening to see that the wise leadership were equally mindful of the pensioners who form a sizable section of society.
Doha: Sharq newspaper: 4/7/2011: NHRC and Mauritanian counterpart yesterday signed MoU aimed at protecting and promoting Human Rights and exchange of expertise in the fields of human rights on all levels in the context of the UN charter in the field of promoting and respecting human rights and basic freedoms.
The MoU signed on the Qatari side by H.E. NHRC Chairman, Dr. Ali Bin Smaikh al-Marry and on the Mauritanian side by his Mauritanian counterpart, Ba-Mariam Kwita, comes in the context of NHRC’s commitment to its obligations as to cooperation with international, regional and national Human Rights organizations and bodies as spelled out in the Emiri decree establishing it in 2002.Read More
