Gaza, December 29 (QNA) – Trucks loaded with 90 tons of foodstuffs and medicines, carried by two Qatari planes, arrived at the Rafah border crossing to provide assistance to the people in Gaza Strip who have been facing an Israeli military genocide campaign since Saturday.
Chief of the Qatari Bureau in Gaza Sayar Abdurrahman al-Mu”awda told Qatar News Agency (QNA) reporter that two out of three Qatari planes today obtained the Egyptian Authorities” permission to transfer their loads into Rafah crossing in preparation to get them into Gaza Strip.
Medicines will be allowed into the Strip as a first step, he said, noting that the total Qatari aid provided at this stage is three planes; each of them carrying 45 tons of medicines and foodstuffs.
All aid will be handed over to Palestinian hospitals and charities which will in turn hand them over to the besieged people in Gaza Strip, al-Mu”awdah said, adding that only medical assistance was allowed to reach the Rafah crossing, while the third plane loaded with foodstuffs was still waiting for permission.
