Ms. Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Secretary General of the NHRC conducted a number of important meetings on the sidelines of a training session organized by the NHRC for foreign and interior ministries of the State of Kuwait under the title "Ideal framework for dealing with human rights issues through relevant international and regional mechanisms". Al-Attiyah and the accompanying delegation met HE Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister; the meeting was attended by administrative and financial management director Ambassador Jamal Abdullah Al-Ghanim, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister's Office Director, Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah and the Deputy Director of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister's Office Department Ambassador Saleh Salem Al-Loughani. Al-Attiyah also met with HE Ambassador Khaled Sulaiman Al-Jarallah Under-Secretary of the Foreign Affairs, in which activities of the NHRC was addressed and ways of cooperation were discussed, the meeting was attended by administrative and financial management director Ambassador Jamal Abdullah Al-Ghanim and HE Ambassador Director of the Office of Management agent Ayham Abdullatif. Al-Attiyah also met the National Assembly chairman, Mr. Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim in his office who welcomed the delegation of the NHRC; both two sides exchanged ways of joint cooperation in human rights issues. Al-Attiyah also met Dr. Abdul Hameed Dashti Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the Kuwaiti National Assembly and the Committee's Rapporteur, Mr. Hammoud Hamdan. Al-Attiyah also met the Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Research and Curricula at the Ministry of Education Dr Saud Al- Harbi, the meeting discussed ways to exchange expertise and experiences regarding the integration of human rights culture in curricula. The National Human Rights Committee delegation headed by Ms. Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah visited the Kuwaiti International College of law, where the delegation met Dr. Badr Al-Khalifa, head of Trustees; the meeting discussed cooperation in respect of the contribution in spreading the culture of human rights through legal research and studies on the mechanisms in this regard. Al-Attiyah met Head of the International Organization for Migration's mission Ms. Iman Erekat, both two sides discussed ways to cooperate on issues of common interest especially with regard to migration issues and human rights.
