Members of the NHRC renewed confidence in Dr. Ali Bin Smaikh Al-Marri and reelected him as the chairman of the NHRC, Dr. / Mohammed Yusuf Obaidan Fakhro, was elected as the deputy-Chairman. This came in the first meeting in the fourth session of the members of the Committee, which was held at the headquarters of the NHRC in the presence of Dr. Ali bin Smaikh Marri, as a representative of civil society, Dr. Yousuf Obaidan Fakhro, as a representative of the civil society, Dr. Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari, as a representative of civil society, Dr. Asmaa Abdullah Mohammed Al-Attiyah, as a representative of civil society, Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Qader Mughaiseeb, as a representative of civil society, Ms. Amal Abdel Latif Al Mannai, as a representative of civil society, Mr. Abdul Rahman Mohammed Faisal Al Suwaidi, as a representative of the civil society, Ms. Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah, as a representative of civil society, Mr. Abdullah Saqr Al Mohannadi, as a representative of the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Mohammed Hassan Alobaidly, as a representative of the Ministry of Justice, and Mr. Saleh Saeed Hamad Al Shawi, as a representative of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The meeting discussed a number of issues including discussing the semi-annual report; the meeting also came up with the decision to form three sub-committees: legislation and reports preparation committee, Monitoring and  visits Committee, and Research and Studies Committee. The first meeting of the fourth session was held after the issuance of Emiri decree No.  40 for the year 2015 that stipulated the new organization of the NHRC.
