The NHRC participates in The Thirteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice

The NHRC participated in the exhibition accompanying The Thirteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice. The exhibition provides information on the main event to the participants in different languages. The revenue of the exhibition will go to humanitarian causes reflecting the commitment to establishing a safe and stable international community. The NHRC's booth included publications on awareness of human culture, an office for legal advice on all issues relating to human rights, in addition a display boards containing calligraphy on Islam and human rights. Mr. Abdullah Al-Mahmoud, head of Media and public relations at the NHRC stated that The NHRC is always keen to participate in such conferences, which are considered great opportunity for the transfer of humanitarian cultures of the peoples around the world. He added: We affirm, through these events, the mission of the NHRC, which lies in the protection and promotion of the rights of individuals falling under the jurisdiction of the State of Qatar, He pointed out that in order to enable the NHRC to achieve this mission, it seeks to raise awareness and education of these rights and to provide the necessary protection and support to individuals through many mechanisms, including participating at such conferences as well as similar international, regional and local conferences in addition to organizing Media campaigns, seminars and workshops. Al-Mahmood said that the NHRC participated at this exhibition among many non-governmental and government organizations, professional associations and UN bodies, pointing out that such participations enable the transmission of experiences and exchange of expertise in all areas.
