The NHRC received a visit at its headquarters from members of the Student Council of Al Wakra Independent secondary school for Boys in the framework of its educational role and contributions in raising awareness of human rights, where Mr. Jaber Al Huwail, Director of the Department of Legal Affairs, Mr. Abdullah Al Mahmoud, head of the Public Relations and Media unit, Mr. Ali Muharram, legal expert welcomed the student. Mr. Ali Muharram gave a lecture introducing the NHRC as a national institution for protection and promotion of human rights and its establishment, objectives, strategy, terms of reference and legal nature, in addition to the legal services it offers, and achievements at the local and international levels; pointing out that the NHRC has become in a few years one of the national human rights institutions that are increasingly recognized at the international level, thanks to the support it receives at all levels of leadership. Student Council members expressed their happiness to visit the NHRC and their pride and appreciation for the NHRC and all its members, and its great contributions in promoting and protecting human rights in Qatar
