A delegation of The National Human Rights Committee headed by Dr. Ali Bin Al-Marri, participated in monitoring the elections of the Moroccan Council of associations and authorities at the invitation of the National Human Rights Council of Morocco. Dr. Al-Marri in a press statement, said that the NHRC have many experiences in election monitoring at the local, regional and international levels, where the NHRC participates at the local level  in monitoring the election of the municipal council, also at the international level in the Georgian election monitoring in 2012, all of which were successful experiences that developed the international experience of the NHRC in this area; pointing out that monitoring means observing the independence and objectivity of elections, tracking the conduct of electoral processes, compiling the relevant data objectively and impartially, evaluating the organization and conduct of elections and the extent of its compliance with relevant constitutional rules, legislative and regulatory provisions, and international standards. He also added that a report shall be prepared on observations, to be submitted to the competent authorities. Al Marri added that qualified national institutions are always chosen to carry out such tasks for what they are known including their hard work in the field of human rights and the dissemination of the values ​​of democracy and citizenship, and based on their establishment according to the law and work according to their statutes; in which they are entitled during the election process for access of the central voting offices and committees of statistics, for the purpose of monitoring and  observation of the voting process, counting of votes, and the announcement of the results, as well as communicating with various public and private media after the announcement of the results, and meeting with all actors in the electoral process to discuss the conclusions of their work and recommendations proposed, during the preparation of the its reports.
